Clothes Don't Fit
There's no denying the guilt, frustration, shame or sadness when we've realised we are heavier than we've ever been. Our clothes don't fit, nor do they flatter us.
We shy from photos, and positing on social media becomes stressful.
We either ignore (ignorance is bliss) and try to convince ourselves "it's okay, i still love me for who I am", or we start taking on unhealthy habits like starving (aka fasting), or stressing our body with the "eat less, exercise more" idea.
We try out the latest fad diets and miracle pills or shakes, at our wallet and health's expense. But to no avail.
I guess it's inevitable and it's all down hill from here.
Metabolic Diseases
80% of Chronic Diseases stem from excessive weight and obesity. These include heart disease, stroke, diabetes, fatty liver (Metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease), cancer, chronic inflammation, and more.
Unfortunately it's always believed that getting these conditions is 'normal' as we age. Furthermore there is no 'cure' and you will be required to take medications for the rest of your life.
But that is not true. There have been studies that showed 86% of participants who lost 15kg or more succeeded in achieving remission of diabetes. 57% of those losing 10-15kg, almost 34% of those losing 5-10kg, and 6.7% had their diabetes resolved by just losing 0-5kg.
And we've witnessed our own members, who have also been cleared of their medications by their treating physicians for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
Life Inconveniences
Besides the 2023 news of airlines wanting to weigh passengers, and the disgruntled passengers who demand those overweight travellers should buy two seats instead of one, there are many other life inconveniences of having excess body weight.
Besides the metabolic diseases, excess weight and fat impact our muscles and joints. Back pain, knee pain and even arthritis are exacerbated by excess body weight and fat. Some of our members inflicted with serious arthritis of their hands and feet can now open and close their fingers and walk properly after using our protocols.
Obesity also affects our sleep, and can cause sleep apnea too. It also impacts our energy levels, and overweight individuals find it hard to exericse because the body is actually signalling to 'conserve energy'.
But there is a solution!
Over the past 918 days, all our WOW consultants globally have helped over 76,000 people lose 815, 650kg of body weight which includes 608,504kg of fat. The fat alone is equivalent to about 254 elephants! This data is collected via our specialised scale and app.

Before we know it, we've gained weight. It was slow, and initialy we brushed it off, as it was just a little. But over time it was surely and steady. What's worse is the modern diet, ease of available foods, an abundance of highly tasty, highly palatable, highly processed foods, endless choices and quantities at any time of day and lack of highly natural (not lab made) nutrients have affected our body's ability to function optimally, metabolise food, and utilise fat stores.
Over time, our clothes don't fit, and it's hard to find a good angle for photos, we begin to think 'maybe' i did gain some weight. For many, feelings of frustration, guilt, shame, or denial kick in! The final nail in the coffin is when our doctor diagnoses us with high blood pressure, or high cholesterol, or diabetes.... that's when reality starts to sink in. And we might just do something about it... or not...
🙅♂️Tried... & Failed
Dr Gary tried many modalities to lose weight. Over a 10 year period, he did intermittent fasting for 2 years, keto diet for 1 year followed by low-carb for another year, he was in the gym 3-5x per week, but it didn't seem to work. Alice spent over SGD$20,000 on various programs, shakes, and TCM treatments and remedies only to rebound back faster than she lost, and with interest too. And Helen had been on a strict keto diet for over 4 years, but much to her disbelief, she still ended up being diagnosed with diabetes and high amounts of visceral fat.
😮💨Forever
Many diets and weight loss programs are essentially based on will power and discipline. There has to be a better way... and it's not about forever telling yourself that this 'diet' you're on is a way of living, the 'new you' and that you love and thrive on it. Furthermore, exercise is not a punishment for having a good meal with friends. And having to workout more, to offset a night out is a tough, unsustainable and unhealthy way of living. So is trying to drink lab-created unpalatable meal replacement shakes, appetite suppressants and carb blockers.
Yes, habits and lifestyle changes are absolutely essential and also a part of WOW. But you can't out-run a bad diet. Post-WOW, your body has become proficient in metabolising foods, and you would have created new habits, belief systems, understanding, and set point for your body weight, which all aid in helping you keep the weight off.

Is this even possible? How do we get there? Can this be sustainable even without being 'on a diet' after we've lost weight?
